Play kitchens never go out of style. Even in today's world of computer and video games this classic toy still draws new fans every year.

So how do you choose the play kitchen that's right for your child? One of my favorites is the LifeStyle Dream Kitchen Playset by Step 2. First of all, it's gorgeous. I wouldn't mind if my real kitchen looked as nice as this one does (complete with "granite" countertops).

Second it comes with 37 accessory pieces, including pots and pans, plates, utensils, and even some play food.

Third--and this is my favorite part--the appliances make realistic electronic sounds! The light over the sink works, too. Children will really feel that they are cooking "just like mom and dad" with this kitchen.

I also really like the size. It's big enough for more than one child to play at a time but not so big that it needs its own room. Plus it includes a microwave, oven, refrigerator, sink, and plenty of cabinet space. With so much to see and do, this play kitchen is sure to keep your children entertained for hours at a time!
