Girls and Horses

What young girl doesn't love horses? I know I did and so did many of my friends. Bella Sara knows it too, which is why their line of trading cards, games, and puzzles is quickly gaining in popularity. And not just with kids. Parenting groups recently acknowledged the company with three important awards: an iParenting Outstanding Product Award; a National Parenting Center Seal of Approval; and a Seal of Excellence award from the 2007 Creative Child awards panel. They've even garnered attention from the New York Times for their innovative trading cards, which are geared at girls instead of boys (think Magic the Gathering and other competitive trading cards).

Bella Sara is commited to encouraging high self esteem and freedom of expression in young girls ages 5 and up. In their words Bella Sara is, "an imaginative, joyful world of horses, where every girl is special and uniquely beautiful!" I'm not nine years old anymore and even I am having a hard time resisting the beautiful, magical horses that are featured on all of their products, with their large eyes and flowing manes.

The trading cards are the heart of this company. Once a girl purchases a card with a particular horse, she can go online and actually care for and play with that horse in her own virtual stable. It's a nice melding of technology and imagination that appeals to me.

But what is a girl to do when she's not on the internet? Bella Sara also offers fun, girl-friendly puzzles and arts and crafts featuring the same horses that your daughter can collect in her virtual stable.

Take a look at the Bella Sara products we offer at All Children's Furniture. And keep an eye on this company! It's one to watch. And while you're add it, keep an eye on this blog. I'll be blogging about more horse inspired stuffed toys and other products in the future. What can I say? I'm getting in touch with my childhood!
