Well, Phil the Ground Hog predicted six more weeks of winter, and judging by the snow and rain we've gotten the last couple days--Phil knew what he was talking about.

Gloomy weather makes for dark days and darker nights. As a kid, I couldn't sleep if my room was too dark and even now I prefer to use a night light. If your child is having a hard time sleeping, maybe you should consider a night light, too!

Night lights have gotten a lot cuter since I was a kid. I especially like the Pet Lamp Collection from Offi. The friendly animal shapes are reassuring at night and become cute room accents during the day. They're made of a non-toxic, odorless, molded plastic and use a low voltage, replaceable bulb to bathe your child's room in soft light.

With four different animals to choose from(cat, dachshund, puppy, and teddy bear) and several different colors (including pink, blue, and green!), you're sure to find just the right "pet" for your child. My favorite is the TerriBear, Jr. Pet Lamp. He's so jolly with his round tummy and smiling face that I'm sure he'd put any child at ease. He also comes with two washable markers so your child can decorate him any way he or she wants.
