Play Kitchen: Lots to Choose From

It's been a while since I blogged about kitchen sets, so I thought I'd introduce you to another favorite of mine: Kidkraft's Play Kitchen Set.

Unlike the Step 2 Lifestyle Dream Kitchen Playset I talked about the last time, Kidkraft's version is all about old fashioned sturdiness and simplicity. For starters, this wooden kitchen set is painted in playful pastels. It's not entirely realistic, but it's very kid-friendly. It's also a nice size--not too small--so kids can continue to play with it for years to come.

There are frescoed water and ice dispensers on the refridgerator, a notepad on the side of the fridge, and a phone. The knobs on the sink and oven turn and the fridge doors open and close.

However, this kitchen play set doesn't light up. It doesn't make sounds. And you know what? I like that. Let your child make up the sounds. Maybe he or she will come up with something that sounds nothing like a faucet or stovetop. But that's the beauty of imaginary play!

The point is, there are lots of kitchen sets out there. Whether you want a set that's classic or one that comes with all the bells and whistles (literally), you're sure to find one that's just right for the special child in your life! Browse our wide selection at All Children's Furniture.
